This website was created by volunteers with Immigration Voice. We have lived in this country lawfully for over a decade, and America is the only country our children know. We bear the brunt of Senator Durbin’s obstructionism in our own lives every single day.
Despite being approved to receive green cards, we are denied them due to annual limits based on country of birth. We are told we must wait 150 years for our green cards. What does that mean? It means that if we lose our jobs, we have to pack our bags and leave the country along with our families. It means that when our children turn 21, they will be deported from the only country they know. It means that our death or disability could result in our families having nowhere to call home.
We live in all 50 states and our advocacy over the years has won us overwhelming support in Congress. However, Senator Durbin has shown himself a relentless obstructionist in our efforts to advocate for fairness and a non-discriminatory immigration policy. Senator Dick Durbin is the only obstacle to removing racist per-country caps on Employment Based Green Cards.
Founded in 2005, Immigration Voice is a national 501(c)(4) non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the rights of legal tax-paying high-skilled immigrants in the United States.
